Dear Sir,
Good day. This is Tim from Singapore.
My PC's OS is Win XP Professional. This is OEM copy which I bought in
Dec2003.When I am connecting my Siemens SX1 mobile phone, it seems Win XP
Professional cannot recognise this phone.I am using Siemens Data Suite
software for SX1 which came togther with mobile ph in a CD. The help files
stated "Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP with the latest service pack". Pls
advise. Is there any URL from where I can only download the necessary
WinXPPro serv pack for mobile phones? Thank you

Hi,

The service pack is not for the phone, but for Windows. SP2 is the latest
version, and you can download it here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...BE-3B8E-4F30-8245-9E368D3CDB5A&displaylang=en

It's a whopper at 266MB. The Auto-update version (aka the Express version)
will be smaller as it will only download the parts you need. The full
network version contains everything, including all critical updates since
XP's original release, many of which you probably already have.

What service pack for XP is installed on the computer - SP1a, SP2? If
not SP2 you should upgrade to that. Also check on the Siemens website
to see if their software works with SP2 of if an update is needed. Make
sure to properly prepare the computer before applying SP2.
