If you plug your joystick in and go to Game Controllers in Control Panel,
then click add and select the Sidewinder it *should* work, post back if you
have any problems.
As Paul noted, the basic drivers for the controller are contained in Windows
XP, however, since they run on the old .vxd format the system will install
automatically for you but you lose the ability to save "profiles." You can
still save a controller profile within the games themselves, if that Option
is supported.
