Sidewinder feestyle pro gamepad software

Hi all,

I'm trying to get my MS Sidewinder Freestyle pro working
under windows 2000, and have found mention of the
Sidewinder Software v4.0 which is compatible for Win2k, but
cannot find anywhere to download it from microsoft.com.
(only 3.02 is avail... 95&98). Can somebody please provide
a link to the download location for this software?

Have you tried the included Sidewinder drivers?

Open the Gaming applet in Control Panel, click Add, see if the
"Microsoft Sidewinder (Autodetect)" will work for you.

Yup yup, I've tried the built in drivers, and it detects
ok, until I go to use it. Then the DPad directions are all
messed up (up/down is actually up/left etc...). I've seen
there was a patch for 98 for this issue, but nothing for
2k... any help appreciated.
