Can you get more of the name than just "brdr"?

A solution that often helps with a slow shutdown.

Kevin,

Please give the newsgroup more information on the file please; full filename,
location...

CTRL + SHIFT + ESC (Task Manager) | PROCESSES tab. Can you END TASK the file? It
will also give it's full name here where you can search to get its location.
Right-clicking the file | PROPERTIES | VERSION may tell you the
developers/internal name... too. This will also help

Gerry,

1) Stop posting TinyUrls please as the link to the correct Microsoft page is
fine

2) A Profile Cleanup Utility will not stop the machine from shutting down. It
removes redundant profiles which make startup & shutdown slower - that's all

3) The utility you mentioned if good for roaming profiles on an AD domain, but
if the users with a local profile uses that tool & deletes all their
favourites... then they won't be very impressed

Devil,

There is one registry key to automatically end or after a certain amount of
seconds, but the user never said the application has hung but stopping the
shutdown
