shutdown

Hi i have just installed windows 2000 pro for a freind
but when i shut ti down i get the now it is safe to turn
off your pc screen but it will not respond to the power
of button i have to turn it of at the wall sock.
any help please email me cheers

If this is an ATX motherboard you will need to keep the power button
pressed for five seconds before it powers off.
