shutdown restarting automatically

Kyrre Sandaker

When I hit start and select shutdown to turn off my PC it
closes or turns of my monitor but not my tower. Why
doesn't the total system turn off together? How do I fix
the problem, do I have to uninstall XP and re-install to
get the system shut down simultaneouly?
