Shutdown question

Improper shut-down can cause problems by not allowing the running processes
to close, that is a software issue. It can also cause your hard drive to
crash and create bad sectors. I lost a drive that way, at least, that's what
the computer told me when it refused to reboot. If it is taking a long time
to shut-down, take a look at the programs you have running in the background
and stop any you don't need.
