Shutdown process

Hello, I have a machine running Windows 2000 Advance Server and I have
the need to include a shutdown process, that is executed when the user
clicks start-shut down every time. Is there a way to include a shutdown
script or to modify somo service to include this?

Use the Group policy editor
%windir%\system32\gpedit.msc
User Config\Windows Settings\Scripts\Logon/Logoff
Computer Config\Windows Settings\Scripts\Startup/Shutdown
