Shutdown problem

Occasionally, for the past month or so, when I got to shut down
Windows XP it will restart rather than shutting down. When it started
doing this, I started making real sure I was pressing "shut down" and
not "restart" by mistake. It still restarts about 1 out of 5 times.
Anyone have any idea what's causing this?

That's the symptom I have. But unfortunately, that's not the cause.
Don't use the Roxio stuff. I use Nero.
