Shutdown problem with video upgrade

I upgraded my AIW 9700 drivers to include the new control panel and 4.8 cat
drivers.
Now the computer will not restart unless I press the "end now" button 2-3
times to disconnect something in the graphics system.

The control panel is cool and new but is history until I can find a
workaround for the shutdown problem.

Anyone else have this problem?
