I recently did a clean install of Windows XP Home Edition, with SP2 on
a friend's PC and it's not offering the Standby Button on the Shutdown
dialog window. The button is in fact greyed out. How can I rectify
this?

Many thanks,

S.

Ensure that you have the latest drivers for the motherboard.

Update your graphic card driver.Visit the manufacturer's site to
download and install the latest driver.
