shutdown must be requested twice

I have to select shutdown twice for the machine. The first time I request it
I get a hiccup the second time it shuts down normally. This problem started
when I installed shutdown.exe. I cant find out how to uninstall it.

Not listed in add/remove? Did you search for it? What is location?
 
go into safemode
and just delete it.

likely it can't be
deleted in normal
mode because it is
actively running
in memory.
