Shutdown freeze

Hi, since I downloaded the update security patches from
Microsoft, my computer freezes on shutdown. Any
suggestions?

Hi, since I downloaded the update security patches from
Microsoft, my computer freezes on shutdown.

Uninstall the update and see if this helps. If no, use the System
Restore tool. See "How to Restore the Operating System to a Previous
State in Windows XP" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306084).

do the following
1. click start buttun
2. go to Help and Support Centre
3. type startup and shutdown troubleshooter in the search box, and press Enter
4. follow the instructions
