Is it necessary to Shutdown Windows XP everyday? I've
alway's heard it's not necessary but just recently
someone told me we should.

I never shut dwon either of the computers at home. Our computer club never
shuts down any of the 18 Windows based systems or the 8 Macintosh systems.
24/7

Must be nice to be rich. I personally prefer to shut the system down every
night. I never use suspend mode or anthing as I'm afraid of an electrical
storm or some such thing giving the sytem a jolt. I even use a surge
protector bar. It really is a personal thing. If you can afford the wasted
electricity, no matter how small, and don't worry about lightning or such
then leave it on. Otherwise turn it off to "save our planet". lol lol. {]:~)

Why wouldn't you? I do what I do and then turn everything off.

Do you leave your TV on all the time?

Are you rich enough to pay for the power being used?

It's entirely up to you. It's not necessary.
