Shutdown due to RPC

dear sir,

i have a P4 pc with 256MB of RAM and adequate hard disk.
XP is running on the system. from yesterday an error has
started coming - "shutdown RPC". it gives a screen after
few second the system shuts down. my pc is having norton
antivirus 2003 with updated virus definition file and i
scanned the system fully and there is no virus detected.
i need ur express help in this regard.

I'm not sure why your Norton didn't find it but it sounds
like you have the Blaster virus. Norton's website has a
tool to clean it off your system plus you should put the
latest windows updates on your pc to keep it from coming
back.
