Shutdown dialogue box

Hi

I am not sure if this is the right place for this question but here goes

I have always had the three button shutdown dialogue box come up when i
pressed the shutdown button on the start menu but after my laterst reinstall
I get a drop down menu dialogue box instead.

Can I change this via the registry or another way
