I have read a few posts close to the same subject but not quite the same. So
I apologise if I am repeating a question asked before.
I run WinXp Pro with SP2. On several ocassions, when I shutdown my pc, it
shutdown alright but the power of the pc is not off automatically. I have to
physically press the <on/off> button on my pc to power it off. Does anyone
know the reasons and possible remedies? Thanks.

(From [Tsuniper-X])
i remember the settings for turning off computer when i was using Windows
98SE. From that OS, i could set the power, something like "Automatically shut
down". Anyway, what you can try is your computer setting.(NOT the Windows
setting) Press [Del] key several times as soon as you turn on the computer.
MOST computers will pop up its BIOS settings. Search for any power-related
settings. Because all computers are not exactly same, i can not help more.
Thank you.
