I have a pc running XP Pro. It gets to the login screen
and then powers off. I have run it in safe mode and
can't find any problems.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

If it runs in Safe Mode, then probably your hardware is all right.
Obviously, something is running in regular mode that is causing the
machine to shut down. Unfortunately, you provided too little
information to get a specific answer. Here are two things to try:

1. Stop your computer from automatically restarting on failure so you
can get a BSOD with the error (so you can research the error for
troubleshooting) by going to System>Advanced>Startup and
Recovery>Settings and under System Failure uncheck "Automatically
Restart".

2. Scan with a current antivirus program (meaning a version not later
than 2002 and using updated virus definitions) to be sure you don't
have something like the blaster virus.

Post back with more details about your system, error messages, etc. and
include what you've done to troubleshoot the problem if you want more
help.
