I can't open the database I created. It says I don't have the necessary
permission to oopen the object and that I need the Administrator and the
owner of the object to give me permission. I am the owner and the
administrator.

Here's the account of what I did....
I have the object opened in Access when I created the workgroup. After I was
done creating the workgroup, the program closed and when it came back I can't
get to it. It says I don't have the necessary permission......

Please help!!! I need this program back desperately. :-(

Did you use the security wizard to create the workgroup file? If so it
likely created a shortcut on your desktop that you have to use to open your
secured file.

Yes I used the wizard but I don't see any shortcut in my desktop.

I really need help!

Well normally the wizard creates a new workgroup and uses it to secure the
current mdb file. When completed the file can only be opened when that
workgroup file is used. The wizard will offer you the choice of creating a
special shortcut or making the new workgroup your default (in which case a
special shortcut is not required).

If the wizard didn't create a shortcut then it should have changed your
default workgroup to the new one which should allow you in. Are you asked
for a UserName and Password when you open Access or the File or are you just
denied entry without being prompted? The former suggests that your default
workgroup was changed. The latter indicates that it was not.
