shut down

Kip Wheeler/Pc3

I request my PC to shut down and it often restarts and reboots.
What do I do to get it to really shut down when I request.

Does your machine support APM? If it does not, disable APM
in your desktop properties, screensaver, power, APM tab.
when you go to shutdown it should give you a "it is now
safe to shut down your computer message" If it does,
enable APM and go into setup and make sure APM is enabled
as well. Hope this helps!
