shut down restart

When I turn my computer on, I get a winlogon.exe error message. Then when I
turn off the computer, it automatically restarts, and I have to shut down
twice to get it to turn off.

I disabled "automatically restart" so that I could see what error message I
receive. I now get "Fatal System Error Stop c000021a".

I'm not sure what to do now. Any help would be appreciated.

First check wht happens in safe mode.

Then boot to recovery console and run chkdsk /p and chkdsk /r.

Microsoft has a write-up on the c000021a error. Go to Microsoft and search
for c000021a.

you didn't mentioned how old is your COMPUTER is...anyways...sometimes a general hardware cleaning can do it.

if you have your own OS installer, reformat your HD then re-INSTALL your OS, if it doesn't fix your problem, that's hardware problem mostly your HARD DISK is aging.

What should I check in safe mode? I have gone into safe mode several times,
trying to solve the problem, but it persists.

I have read that article and done the things that I understand. But maybe
I'm not understanding it clearly.
