shut down remote procedure call (RPC) windowsxp

i turned my computer on. Got message Windows cannot find
TFTP 3928. i hit cancel first time. 5 minutes later i
get a message "shut down because of NT Authority/system.
Remote procedure call (RPC). begins shut down. computer
restarts and cycles all over again. My norton anti virus
is up to date and all windows updates are installed. Is
this that virus?? same thing happened to my sister in
law. did not receive any strange emails.
