I have a slight problem with shutting dowm windows XP. I
have only recently bought a new computer with XP and have
installed various other programs eg. zone alarm and AVG
6.0 antivirus. On many occasions (not all) when i shut
down the computer it reaches the 'Windows is shutting
down' part and then freezes (mouse included.) when i hit
the restart button and try to shut it down again it
usually does on first attempt and there is no scan disk
during the restart either. I am not very familiar with XP,
but have been told that it could be the antivirus
software. Can anybody shed some light on this for me, and
if possible advise me how to fix it?
Cheers
