Shut Down Problem

When I attempt to shut down WinXP two messages appear:
1st message: End Program jusched.exe
This program is not responding . . . .

2nd message covers over part of 1st first message and the system sometimes
freezes in this position; other times both messages flash by one on top of
other without time
to copy the wording..

2nd: dwwin.exe - DLL Initiation Failed
The application failed to inialize because the window station is shutting
down.

There seems to be 1001 reasons for shut down problems. I tried to find help
on the MSFT KB site but can't determine which fix to use. Any help you can
give me will be much
appreciated.

Pat Miller

DWWIN.EXE is the executable for the Dr. Watson diagnostic utility included
with Windows. Google it for some suggestions.

Hi, Open a RUN command and type in it: sfc /scannow and click OK get your
XP CD handy to put in if it needed.
Scan for Malware and Viruses on your system.

AJR thanks for reply. Tried to locate DR Watson diagnostic Utility no luck.
dwwinn.exe brings up the following : \windows\service Pack files\i386
description as MSFT application error reporting. ?? I have not learned to
use Google - is there some other way.

Pat

Pat - To check if Dr. Watson is functional : Start>Run>type drwtsn32 > OK or
enter. Options are 1. System restore, 2. System file checker or 3. Windows
repair. Note: E-mail to you being rejected.

Hi AJR, I followed instructions and Dr. Watson for Windows came up.
However the options available: dump symbol table, dump all tjhread
contexts, append to existing log file, visual noltification, sound
notification and create crash dump file, there is already a check mark in
items 2,3, and 6 - incidently, they are listed in above order but not
numbered. I followed the path which is: Documents &
Settings\owner\application data\microsoft\crypto\RSA\(a long string of
numbers in the RSA file - but no Dr Watson.

Regarding the email - my name is incorrect: it should be (e-mail address removed)
my mail has been going out like that for months and no one called it to my
attention. :)
I have checked my Outlook Express account and it reads tuazz, I cannot find
the area where
the name is misspelled. So will get in touch with the Outlook newsgroup.

Thank you for taking time to help me, it is much appreciated.
Best Regards,
Pat
