Shrinking NTFS partition

I have WinXP on disk C that is NTFS. On a part of disk D [a separate
hard disk] I have installed LINUX and the rest of disk D is formatted
as NTFS.

Since Linux can write a file on NTFS, I need to create a FAT32
partition.

I installed partition magic but it shows that whole of disk D is bad.

How do I shrink NTFS partition on disk D to create a FAT32 partition?

qtparted (for linux) is like partition magic.
Otherwise you can use the 1 cd-rom of the linux mandrake distribution, which
comes with a partition program, boot with it and continue with the
instalation since you make the partitions, then abort :)
