Shrink Taskbar back down?

I pulled the top of the Taskbar up to show a double row of application and
folder icons. Today, I wanted to pull it back down - but it won't go! I
can collapse it to zero, but I can't pull it down to just one icon high. I
noticed my System Tray area is a double row of icons -could it have gotten
locked into that height somehow and now won't change?

Had that happen to me. As best I can remember, I right clicked on
the task tray and then on Tool Bars. Made sure Lock the Taskbar was not
checked. Unchecked Quick Launch and messed around with the Vertical
area delineation bars and got the Task Tray back to a single height and
checked Quick Launch

Thanks for the reply. I unchecked Quick Launch and the Taskbar went down to
normal. Thought "Well, that was easy!", re-checked QL, and BAM! double
height again! Messing around trying to adjust the vertical delineators and
accidentally put the whole Taskbar vertical. But then I could adjust
everything - got it to just the dimensions of the Start button and moved it
horizontal - and it stayed. More MS weirdness, I guess!

Ed,
You said you unchecked Quick Launch. Did you also uncheck "Lock The
Taskbar"? That's the one that keeps it locked at 2 high...

Good Luck.
