shrink/grow

I am trying to have my large picture start small and grow to full size. When
I use the shrink/grow emphasis, the resolution is terrible. Is there a way to
preserve the picture?

The best way I know of to do this, is to add the object at full size, then
give it the shrink emphasis. Set that animation to start as the slide
appears, very fast. Now, add the grow animation and place that where you
want it in the timeline. Now comes the tricky part. The animation will
default to 150%. you want it at 400%. (Why 400%? Because it is the percent
change compared to the current object size.) From the list select Huge.
This will set the size to 200% (the opposite of 25%).

If you don't want the shrink to show as you run the slide, place the object
off the slide (in the gray area) and give it a motion path to bring it to
it's expected location at a speed of very fast. Move this motion path to
just after the shrink and set it to run after previous. Select both the
shrink and the move animations, right click and go to timing. Click in the
speed box and type ".01" (without the quotes). OK your way out and run the
slide. The delay will be shorter than the human eye can see.

Want to set the grow or shrink percent to something other than the preset
options? You can set a custom grow shrink value by clicking the drop down
arrow and change the percent to the number you desire followed by the
percent sign. (I know you can go as small as 1% of current size or as large
as 1000% of current size, but don't know if those are the real limits.) Hit
the tab key to apply the change.
