Well my claim that I've never had a virus on my pc, is no
longer valid, my av software Norton found netsky on my pc
it was found in my internet tif files. Thank god that the
AV software did what it was designed to do, contained it,
and deleted the damaging portion of the file.
my system is safe, and just to be sure I use the latest
version of stinger to scan my system. it is clean.
Ya know, I use both hard/soft firewall keep upto date on
patches and updates on my OS, it just goes to show no
matter how safe you think you are, you can get a virus.
I'm pretty certain I got it off some web site, God only
knows which one, no clue myself.
I don't visit the naughty sites, nor anything that appears
as anything close to don't visit here, and still I got it.

Side note: if you use Outlook (not Express), it also uses the TIF folder for
attachments... more precisely, it uses a folder named OLK57 which resides
within TIF. (I don't know where OE opens it's temps for attachments--I only
use OE for newsgroups.)

I understand your point!

I never directly use outlook to open mail, I use mailwasher
to dump the trash, then use outlook to retrieve the good
stuff.
