Showing the day of the week in calendar

I searched for this and found 2 others asking the question but no answer -

Outlook 2003, (11.5608.5606) in calendar, view buttons "1 day" or "5 day
work week" or "7 week" show the dates but not the names of the day of the
week.
It shows "14 June" but I want it to show "Tuesday 14 June".

How can I change this

Make sure your long date format includes the day name here: Control Panel >
Regional Settings applet > Date tab

I have the same problem - tried this but I don't have an option to include
the day name. Any more ideas?

I tried to change my date format in regional settings and I only had two
options, neither of which included the day of the week.
