show seconds in the clock in the system tray

Does anyone know how to display seconds in the clock in the lower-right
corner of the screen? Normally, this clock shows only hours and minutes.

AFAIK, it can't be done. But if you Google for clock software, you'll
easily find zillions that will display whatever you want.

There are free utils to do that. But, displaying seconds wears out
quickly, and will just annoy you.
