I made a similar post on my old computer that crashed.i was unable to
retrieve any data including my post and reply. I believe Dave Patrick
answered my post. I need the string that you type in to save your
prefered settings when you open explore.

Awsome! First thing I did this time is save as a text file to usb
storage disk. Thanks once more.

I have another issue with my ie6 browser. I know this is not the
newsgroup for it but it is a basic question. I cannot change the home
page either in the web page or registry. I am wondering if I am an
administrator or not. I had to completely redo my 40 gHD because I set
a password for adfministrator and then could not get back in. So
playing it safe I did a power on password in the bios and left win2k
default. How do I tell if I have administrator rights?
