You can record the slideshow and convert into mpeg2 format.
Then, import into DVD authoring program for menu and set up.
Burn into DVD using DVD rewritable drive.

No. Your TV DVD player doesn't have the Powerpoint program or viewer. You
have to convert it to a media your dvd player can handle. You'll have to
read it's manual,
