Hi,

Actually, i have made a very complex worksheet and i don't want to
apply any formula over the worksheet cells.

Therefore, i need to apply cell format on the worksheet in such a
manner that it shows desired cells values in thousands.

Let say if cell A1= 1,000,000 but i want it to show a 1,000 or if Cell
B1=2,567,908 then it would shown to meas 2,568 only

Keep in mind that i don't want to apply any formula to this worksheet.

Thanks in anticipation!

Thanks, but this is not my desired result. Actually, i want to display
1,000,000 as only 1,000 and 2,759,555 as 2,760 only. The
Format/Cells/Number/Custom 0,000 will only put commas at every
thousand. In contrary to this I want to divide the values with 1000.

But, thanks to support me in getting the desired results.

Any new suggestion!

Best Regards

Take a closer look at the format I specified.

JE - it appears that the problem comes with amounts Less Than 1,000,000
Say with 850111 (using the 0,000, -- you get 0,850 << not 850

It's not apparent from the OP's comments, but if there are values <1M,
one could use

#,##0,

instead, certainly.

Thanks JE - that cleared that !!

Dear McGimspey,

Thanks you, and sorry for ignoring such minute thing "," "a comma after
0".

thanks once again!
best regards,
adnan
