Show / Hide My Computer, My Documents, Internet Explorer icons?

I need to change the desktop setup for a dozen or so Windows XP Pro computers
that have been in use for a while, to hide the My Computer, My Documents, and
Internet Explorer icons.

I know this is simple enough to do using Desktop Properties, but I'd find it
easier to do over the network, I was hoping to use RegEdit. Anybody know if
this is possible?

Value of 1 hides the items.
