A friend has a problem with his "show desktop icon" which suddenly wont
work, and does not look like it should. Did a search for the system command,
but it seems to have been deleted. Is there any way to restore this?
Have tried Tweak for Windows XP and followed the instructions on the
Knowledge base with no results.

Hi Vicki,

Right-click the "corrupt" Show Desktop icon and recreate another one.

Creation:

Option 1:

Restore Show Desktop Icon
http://www.dougknox.com/tips/showdesktop.htm

Option 2:

Alternately, search for the file named showdesktop.scf in your computer by
logging in as administrator. Every user has a copy of this file. Copy it to
your userprofile path here:

c:\Documents and Settings\<<YOUR USER NAME>>\Application
Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

Option 3:

How to Re-create the Show Desktop Icon on Quick Launch Toolbar

Ramesh has told you how to recreate the icon. The desktop can also be
accessed via Windows Key d and Windows Key m.
