SHOULD I PROCEED w/SP2 INSTALLATION?

Hello All,

Well, I've successfully downloaded SP2 and now wish to install it...as I
mentioned in another post, the WindowsUpdate site told me that I had to
download other critical updates BEFORE I could proceed w/SP2's installation,
but I was never able to completely accomplish that before the installer
seemed to "die" and could only complete to approx 98%! What will happen if I
double-click the WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe (IT Developers standalone)
download on my Desktop now? I'm so tempted to install it NOW because it's
non-presence is blocking me from truly getting off the ground again with my
clean install.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

AFAIK SP2 can be installed without installing any other updates.

Before you embark on this do read all the appropriate material
from MS pertaining to the update, it could well mean the differnce
between a good and a bad experience
