When trying to find files using programs that don't build on the "My
Documents" base name, the interesting part of the file name is often
truncated because so much space is taken up by the boiler plate portion
of the name; i.e. the long "documents and settings" directory name. For
example, just to see the contents of my top level folder, one needs to
first be able to see:
C:\Documents and Settings\Joseph\My Documents
Can I rename the "Documents and Settings" folder to (perhaps) "DnS"
without generating lots of other problems?
