Shortening a .wav file for New Mail Notification

Hello, I have a TV show theme in a .wav file that I want to use to notify me
of new mail in Outlook 2003. I have Windows Media Player 8 for Win XP. I
don't want to play the whole theme, just the intro. Can I shorten it?
