shortcuts on task bar

autlook in office 2000 would allow one to add shortcuts to files, programs,
websites , etc to the tqsk bar. havent been able to figure out how to
accomplish this in office 2003.

The Outlook 2003 Shortcut bar can hold shortcuts to folders only.

This is what Outlook 2003 help says about that:
The Office Shortcut Bar is not available in Microsoft Office 2003. However,
you can use the Windows XP Start menu or the Windows Quick Launch bar in
Windows XP or Windows 2000 to quickly open an Office program, file, or folder.

You can't. You can add those shortcuts to your taskbar, however, and
even create additional taskbars if you run out or room on your main one
or just want them seperated.

I have my main taskbar docked on the right side, along with several
integrated toolbars such as Network Connections. Then I have a second
taskbar at the bottom with Copernic desktop, Quick Launch and a couple
of other things. AutoHide them and they are tucked quietly away until I
need them.

Thanks folks. I'll look into creating a personal tool bar to hang on
outlook with shortcuts to all my goodies.

It actually doesn't hang on Outlook; rather it's part of Windows. So
it's there whether Outlook is open or not, which can be quite handy.
