Help please? Unable to make a shortcut to my scanner. Have to go through
control panel every time. No shortcut option in menu. Any help appreciated.
Thanks.

Most if not all scanners are activated from within a graphics app.
You can open it with Paint>File>from Scanner. Your scanner should
have a graphics app included on the installation CD.

Thanks for the response. What I'm looking to do is put a shortcut directly to
my scanner either on my desktop or my start menu, which would open up the
scanner wizard. I really didn't want to open up another app first - sometimes
I don't need it.

This is the shortcut to my HP Scanner

"C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP PrecisionScan\PrecisionScanLTX\hppsapp.exe"

Find your scanner's *.exe file and send it to desktop as shortcut.

Start>All Programs, Accessories has this scanner/camera wizard shortcut you
can pin to Start menu: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WIAACMGR.EXE -SelectDevice
