shortcut to desktop

I notice on WinXP there is no shortcut icon to the desktop
on the toolbar at the bottome of the screen. I miss this
feature. Is there anyway of putting it on the toolbar in
WinXP?

Right-click an empty part of the taskbar, choose "Properties" and make
sure there is a check in the box beside "Show Quick Launch". There
should be a "Show Desktop" button in the quick launch bar.

You can also get to the desktop by typing the combination Windows Key
plus D (desktop) or M (minimize all windows).
