I'm trying to open a program but the program always automatically opens a
default new file. Is there a way that I can open just the program without a
new file using the shortcut target line?

thanks,

Hiroshi;
What program? Is it a secret? Would you have to shoot me if you told? Try
creating a new shortcut to the .exe for your program.

it's Autodesk Revit...it automatically starts a template file when
started...I want it tojust open without starting a template file. For
instance, in your target line, after the exe file you can enter "-file xxxx"
where xxx is a filename and it will open that file. I want to know if you
can type "-nofile" or something to keep it from opening the default new
file...

thanks

Hiroshi;
I had AutoDesk ExpressViewer, but I uninstalled it. I am not familiar with
Revit, so I am guessing. Although, I now know it is for designing Stores and
Restaurants. Is there a file name something like revit.exe? If there is right
click the Desktop|New|Shortcut|when the wizard pops up, click the browse
button|navigate to AutoDesk/revit.exe (or whatever)|OK|Next|Finish
I created the following shortcut target for this demo. Notice; There is
nothing after the .exe.
If I had wanted to add something, that is what you are trying to get away from.

"C:\Program Files\CMH Software\The Constructor\CII.EXE"

I don't know if I was clear, but I am going to post this anyway. Instead of
typing -no file, don't type anything. Maybe Revit is not setup to open any
other way?
