Shortcut problem.

I really did not know what groups this would fit in.

Made mozilla firefox my default browser.
I make a shortcut to http://update.mozilla.org/?application=mozilla
When I click on the short cut. It does open with mozilla.

However an windows xp error screen pops up. Saying
Windows cannot find http://update.mozilla.org/?application=mozilla


Any way to fix the shortcut problem?

I know that Frank. However, It a windows xp error message. Firefox
will still open with that site, However a windows error message pops
up saying this (See next post)

These are help groups.
Gee whiz getting flamed for trying to get some help.

Since you have the paid version of X-Newsreader: Forte Agent
1.93/32.576 English You can filter out images. You can also turn
off, the automatic feature that combines and downloads them.

I was only trying to explain to Frank, then when I make firefox the
default browser. Even though Mozilla opens up the shortcut. Xp
display this error message.

Looks like their may be a problem with the way Browser registers
itself to handle urls in Windows or an issue with DDE messaging. A
workaround for now:

1. Open Explorer
2. Select Tools and then Folder Options
3. Select the File Types tab
4. Select Extension: (NONE), File Type: HyperText Transfer Protocol
5. Click Advanced toward the bottom of the window
6. In the Edit File Type window, select open and click Edit
7. Clear the DDE message box (which should contain "%1")
8. Click OK, Click OK
9. Repeat for File Type: HyperText Transfer Protocol with Privacy
