Shortcut Not Opening

G

I am using Vista Business and my hard drive is set up so that Vista
(C) and my files (F) are on seperate partitions. When I create a
shortcut to my files (F) on the desktop it shows up but when I double
click it, it does not open. Then only way I can get it to open is by
right clicking and then selecting open. This is quite frustrating and
I am hoping someone can help me out.

Hi Greenie34--

Have you tried the mouse click settings on Control Panel?

If you have trouble double-clicking, you can adjust the double-click speed
(the amount of time acceptable between clicks). Follow these steps:

Click to open Mouse Properties.

Click the Buttons tab, and then, under Double-click speed, move the slider
to increase or decrease the speed.

Additionally run SFC by typing cmd into Search box above Start>rt. click cmd
when item comes up>run as admin>at prompt type "sfc /scannow." Lose quotes.

hth,

CH
