Shortcut Bar

On my old system, Windows 98, I had a little bar at the
top of the page on my desktop, I could put my most used
programs in. Could click on this and it would open the
program.

Can I do this in XP

Right-click an empty spot on the Taskbar > Toolbars > Quick Launch.
If you do not like the Quick Launch bar shown on the Taskbar, drag it
to another pace on your Desktop with the mouse.
