Short Cuts - Outlook 2003

inst upgraded from previous version. Can't find My Documents shortcut. It seems this version will only allow shortcuts to folders in the Outlook folder list.

How do I place short cuts, to folders outside of Outlook Folder List, under Short Cuts on the Navigation Pane?

Thanks for your help?

Outlook 2003 doesn't support browsing the file system. You can drag a
desktop shortcut to the Shortcuts navigation pane, but it will open in
Windows Explorer, not Outlook.

Who's "you"? In general, Microsoft employees don't read this newsgroup. On
occasion some do, but for the most part, we're all just users of the product
and can't change how it works.

Dragging to Shortcuts in Outlook 2003 does not work.
In pre Outlook 2003 if you created a shortcut to a windows sub-folder you
could drag an item to it and it would be copied there. If you would use the
right mouse button, you would get a choice of copy or move. If you selected
move, then the e-mail is deleted from your inbox and filed in the sub-folder
pointed to by the shortcut. This works independent of the exchange or
Internet mail server. This is an extremely efficient way to file and share
e-mails and it is used extensively in our office. In Outlook 2003, you can
set up the shortcuts in a similar fashion, though the procedure is different,
but you cannot drag an e-mail, contact, meeting or whatever to it. This
functionality has been removed? If you click on the shortcut a separate
window pops up using windows explorer. You can drag files to this directory,
but it is an extra step. Does anyone know of a way to turn this back on? I
know some people don’t use this but it is the one of the few items that made
Outlook better than Notes. This works fine in previous versions of outlook.
