Shift desktop icons?

I've noticed some slight but noticeable burn-in on my well-used but still
functional CRT from the desktop icons. Is there a way to shift all of the
desktop icons just a few pixels to help avoid this?

You could manually adjust the monitor, or don't use align to grid and
auto align.

Why do you not use a screen saver on a regular time interval say 10 minutes
after non usage? It will save your monitor from any burn in.
