shift+2 gives me @ instead of "

instead of getting @ when i press shift+' i get ". its vice versa when i
press shift+2 i get @ instead of ".
trivial problem i know but very annoying!
anyone got any ideas how to fix this?

Select the correct keyboard layout in
Start > Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Languages > Details

Installed Services.

If you are from the UK, you should select the English (United Kingdom) by
adding it and removing the US one.

You are using a UK keyboard with a US keyboard layout

Change the keyboard layout in Control Panel | Regional and Language
Options | Languages | Details | Settings.
