to start your xserver (if one has been installed and configured)
type startx
if you have no xserver installed you will have to do so
since there are different methods for such instsalltion and configuration
it would be best seek help on the appropriate linux group for you particular
distro
if you happen to re running redhat...
at the command prompt just type: setup
to at least get you started
You must be doing something right, plenty of people keep asking in
various newsgroups how to get that combination.
I'd be more worried if all I had was Windows, or even that when I
installed Linux all I'd get would be one of the graphic desktops
