Sheet protection

I am looking to add a button to a toolbar for sheet protection.

The code should

1) check if it is a sheet (not chart) that is active
2) toggle between protected / unprotected
3) determine if the sheet was password protected and if it could not be
unprotected, provide a user msgbox.

Does anyone have a quick suggestion?
